At Mid-Kansas Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, we treat patients who have experienced many different levels of tooth loss. If you have lost teeth or anticipate the need to have multiple teeth extracted, we are pleased to offer All-on-4® dental implants, restoring both your smile’s aesthetics and function.

How are All-on-4® Dental Implants Different from Dentures?

While there are many options for restoring lost teeth, dental implants are the highest standard of care. Implants are preferable to dentures for many reasons. They provide a high rate of success, and with proper care, can last a lifetime. Generally, they do not require major lifestyle or dietary changes. Many patients feel All-on-4® dental implants provide the closest feel and function to your natural teeth.

Ideal Candidates for All-on-4® Dental Implants

During your initial consultation with one of our surgeons, we will take x-ray images, perform a physical evaluation, and ask about your medical history. This information allows us to craft a personalized treatment plan, and verify that you are a good candidate for a safe and successful mouth rehabilitation procedure.

Missing Teeth

Most candidates for All-on-4® dental implants are generally missing multiple teeth or expected to require the extraction of multiple teeth. Teeth are removed when they are no longer viable, which may happen due to infection, disease, trauma, or simple dental neglect.

Bone Grafting

Patients with inadequate bone for implants may require bone grafting to achieve an optimal result. During your consultation, your surgeon will discuss whether grafting is necessary prior to, or during implant placement.

What is Involved in the All-on-4® Dental Implants Process?

Dental implants are titanium screws placed into the jawbone, where they serve as artificial tooth roots. It takes several months for the implants to fuse with the surrounding bone, providing a stable foundation for dental prostheses. The final dental prostheses may include individual replacement teeth, or an implant-supported full arch denture.

What are the Benefits of All-on-4® Dental Implants?

Nobody wants to go through life missing teeth, and All-on-4® dental implants provide a way to regain a confident and healthy smile. Additional benefits include:

  • Results that can last a lifetime
  • Ability for patients to enjoy their favorite foods
  • Preventing bone loss or unwanted facial aesthetic changes
  • Regaining lost confidence
