Evan P. Moody, DDS, MD, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a decade of experience practicing the full scope of oral surgery. He has most recently served as an active-duty Navy oral surgeon at Naval Hospital Jacksonville where he provided comprehensive care including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants including the most complex All-on-X cases, orthognathic jaw surgery, TMJ surgery, in addition to offering the full spectrum of advanced adult and pediatric anesthesia services. During his 20-year Naval career, he also had the privilege of serving aboard the USS George Washington and USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carriers, delivering surgical care in unique and demanding operational settings.

Complimentary to his military surgical role, Dr. Moody has experience in private practice, public health, and even the state of Florida Department of Corrections where he further developed his head and neck trauma surgical skills. Dr. Moody completed his dental degree (2010), medical degree (2014), and his certificate in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (2016) at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. His board-certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons was achieved shortly thereafter (2018).

He is deeply committed to service as evidenced by his participation in outreach programs, disaster relief, dental missions, and foster/adoptive care. He is the devoted husband to his wife Cayela of 22 years and is the father of eight children ranging in ages from 4-19. In his ‘free’ time, Dr. Moody enjoys spending time with his family, working on cars, and exploring the outdoors through hunting and fishing.
